Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. Congratulations to the trio of The Arbitrum Foundation, Horizen Labs, and Offchain Labs for winning the ApeChain RFP vote! I will follow along for updates from their teams as they work toward their goal of launching ApeChain Mainnet in the second quarter of this year.

With the ApeChain RFP in the books, we now have three new proposals up for vote. This week’s issue includes an overview of each plus additional updates across the DAO.

• Special Council member Hazel announced a Malaysia Community Event powered by ApeCoin and supported by Thank APE

• Aaron Haber, author of approved AIP-346, announced the first Bored Silly Comedy Show on February 28th

• Metaverse Steward David announced the start of a new bi-weekly ApeCoin Metaverse Space beginning this Thursday (main language will be Chinese)

• Metaverse Stewards Dim and David have posted their Metaverse Working Group Budget to the Forum; check it out here

🗳️ AIP Live Voting

There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 2/28. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.

AIP-382: Ape Builder House

This proposal aims to launch an “Ape Builder House” to encourage ApeCoin integration into new and existing businesses. It would involve a prize pool including ApeCoin grants paired with acceptance to Brinc’s Web3 Accelerator, which would provide education, mentorship and funding opportunities for winners.

IRL Builder House events would be launched at Web3 conferences globally. The DAO would be able to vote on which global Web3 events to launch the Builder House and two would be selected over the 12-month timeline.

This proposal is requesting $850,000 + 200,000 ApeCoin, broken down as follows:

• Builder House Setup Budget: $50,000

• Phase 1 - Marketing Callout and Application Management Budget: $200,000

• Phase 2 - Builder House execution Budget: $250,000

• Phase 3 - Top 5 Winners per event join Brinc & Animoca Brands Web3 Accelerator: $350,000 Total (including $35,000 per team)

• Builder House Prizes: 200,000 ApeCoin

AIP-390: ApeCast - An app that supercharges your listening experience for all things ApeCoin (Resubmission)

This proposal is a resubmission of AIP-360. You can find my write-up on the original proposal in this issue below:

Below are the changes that would be included in the new version:

• Cost would be reduced from 75,000 ApeCoin to 50,000 ApeCoin

• Two features would be dropped from the previous submission: custom notifications and proposals

• New features would be added to listener/creator experience

• Addition of a section on accountability and transparency

AIP-392: PKing - 3D MOBA social game: APE holders change the world through gaming - Resubmission 

This proposal is a resubmission of AIP-365. You can find my write-up on the original proposal in this issue below:

Below are the changes that would be included in the new version:

• Added airdrop and liquidity plan

  • Each season, 5 lucky holders would be randomly selected from BAYC, MAYC, Meebits, Mocaverse holding addresses, and ApeCoin pledge addresses to share 1% of the game’s USDT income equally

  • Each season, 5 lucky builders would be randomly selected from the AIP voting address, Meebits co-creation address, Mocaverse co-creation addresses, PK initial liquidity addresses, and KOL promotion addresses to share 1% of the game’s USDT income equally

  • Every season, 10 lucky players would be randomly selected from all player addresses and share 1% of the games USDT income equally

  • PK genesis airdrop: AIP voting address, Meebits co-creation address, Mocaverse co-creation addresses, and PK initial liquidity addresses would receive PK genesis airdrops

  • PK initial liquidity plan

• Updated blockchain to ApeChain

• Increased grant request by 10,000 ApeCoin to 40,000 ApeCoin total

  • The extra 10,000 ApeCoin would go towards design and development of Ape & Yuga NFT themed game props, integration with ApeChain, and a security audit
