Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. With seven proposals live on Snapshot and the ApeChain vote scheduled for February 1st, there’s a lot to discuss in the DAO these next couple weeks. This week’s issue includes an overview of all seven AIPs plus a few additional updates across the DAO.

Two weeks into their roles, the new Stewards are moving past the onboarding process and into actual initiatives, planning and coordination. Here's a recap of what each group worked on the past week.
AIP Live Voting
There are seven proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Thursday 2/1. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.
AIP-352: ApeCoin Pets and toys
This proposal is requesting funding to create pet toys, which would be equipped with IoT (“Internet of Things”) sensors to detect pet interaction. ApeCoin rewards would be calculated based on various metrics and transferred to the pet owners’ digital wallets.
It is requesting $250,000 denominated in ApeCoin, broken down as follows:
Research and Development: $50,000
Prototyping and Testing: $30,000
Manufacturing: $60,000
Blockchain Integration: $40,000
Marketing & Promotion: $50,000
Operations & Miscellaneous: $20,000
The team estimates $480,000 revenue in its first year and mentions $475,000 would be returned back to the DAO.

AIP-353: Fashion Battle Royale Powered by Apecoin, Web3 Self-Expression Redefined
Brand New Vision, a digital fashion ecosystem builder and Animoca Brands portfolio company, recently launched a dapp named ME:ID. In this proposal, they are requesting funding for a prize pool and costs to organize an IRL fashion event in Paris.
ApeCoin holders would get access to a range of ApeCoin-gated digital wearables and accessories branded by IPs owned by Yuga Labs in ME:ID. They would be able to use them to create personal, real-time 3D avatars and enter the Fashion Battle Royale.
The top 3 winners of the Fashion Battle Royale would receive ApeCoin prizes and their stylized ME:IDs would be displayed in an IRL event organized by BNV in Paris around Paris Fashion Week in early 2024.
1st place: 15,000 ApeCoin
2nd place: 7,000 ApeCoin
3rd place: 3,000 ApeCoin

AIP-367: An Apes Gotta Eat! Pancho's Poppin Foods
This proposal is requesting funding for a line of signature recipe quick-serve meals, frozen specialty food products, salty snacks & confections.
ApeCoin Club Members would have access to an exclusive 25% discount and there would be a loyalty program as well. Customers who use ApeCoin for their purchases would be rewarded with loyalty rewards in the form of digital banana peels.
The request would include $75,000, broken downs as follows:
Initial Development: $8,500 + fees
Package Design & Printing: $4,000 per product
Warehousing & 3PL/Distribution: $2,500
Marketing/Testing: $10,000
Media Production: $4,000-$5,000
Legal: $5,000 + $3,500 application, TM, fees
Beta Test 1: $15,000
5 products
Beta Test 2: $15,000

AIP-376: Working Group Charter - Web3 Development
We currently have three working groups established: Governance, Metaverse, and Marketing & Communications. This proposal is attempting to establish a fourth group for web3 development. According to the AIP, its mandate would be to “build income generating projects for the ApeCoin DAO, ApeCoin [DAO] Initiatives like ThankApe, Boring Security DAO, MBA licensed projects and the ApeCoin [DAO] community. ApeChain [would] be a strong focus point [if] we reach that point.”
This group would be responsible for:
Supporting builders in the DAO
Building projects that add value to the DAO and communities with a vested interest in ApeCoin
Providing regular updates to the community on the group’s operations and outcomes
Initiatives would include:
Outreach to projects and other web3 communities
ApeCoin payment gateway
ApeCoin powered swop
ApeCoin powered NFT bridge and ERC-20 token bridges
ApeCoin NFT mints
ApeCoin SocialFi apps
Creating spaces for builders and the community to come together
Utilizing Web3 development technologies
Championing new web3 technologies like account abstraction that would be utilized in an attempt to expand the DAO’s footprint
Championing Web3 security
This proposal would include no cost and if approved would require a subsequent proposal to establish a budget. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results can be found here.
AIP-379: Thank APE - Phase II: Amplifying a Movement
Approved one year ago, AIP-124 was phase one of Thank Ape’s project. This proposal would represent phase two, a one-year initiative that would propose to:
Continuously sense into the needs and opportunities for ApeCoin DAO
Attract, fund, and coordinate people to quickly respond to those needs
Incentivize community members to engage and support value-creating projects
The Thank Ape team is requested 4.2 million ApeCoin with 80% allocated to the community for value-creating contributions and 20% allocated to service provider fees.
Below is an overview of how the team would expect to allocate funds for Phase 2 (final allocations would be clarified during the ongoing Sense processes, which all community members would be able to influence):
3.36 million ApeCoin allocated back to the community in the form of rewards:
1.68 million to Tech Builders
1.18 million to Culture Builders
500,000 to Small Businesses
336,000 to Emerging Opportunities
840,000 Apecoin allocated to ThriveCoin, Thank APE Board, and other support services:
305,000 - Protocol and Platform Design & Development
400,000 - Deployment Support, Partnerships, Community, Legal
75,000 - Hosting Costs
60,000 - Thank APE Board Members not part of the APE Foundation

AIP-381: ApeCoin Powered GameFi DAOs & Vaults - Resubmission
This proposal is a re-submission of AIP-324, which you can find an overview of in this newsletter issue from November.
The author mentions this re-submission includes the following updates:
More explanation of features
Original fund request of $520,000 would remain but the DAO would be offered 2.02% (2 million tokens) of the team’s STZ token supply
The STZ tokens would have a 6-month lock-up period beginning on the day the funds would be received

AIP-383: The Public Bored - MVP Launch of a Digital Billboard Network
This proposal is requesting funding for an MVP (minimum viable product) launch of an outdoor, digital billboard network. It’s primary objectives would include:
establishing a long-term sustainable business model
helping fund the ApeCoin DAO treasury
establishing new use cases for ApeCoin
expanding the community of ApeCoin DAO builders
providing the world with a progressively decentralized platform to showcase messaging and art
Twenty percent of top-line revenue would be sent to the ApeCoin DAO treasury until the full cost of this proposal would be returned. In addition, community members would be able to earn a ten percent reward from referrals.
The first MVP engagement would take place over a 10-day period during the Ethereum Denver Blockchain/Web3 event scheduled for February/March 2024. The team listed the following reserved spots would be considered:
2,000 free display spots reserved for the ApeCoin DAO to recruit more builders from ETHDenver
1,500 free display spots reserved for every wallet holding 5,000 ApeCoin as of Jan 1st, 2024
500 free display spots reserved for BAYC or MAYC NFT holders
500 free display spots reserved for Mocaverse NFT holders
250 free display spots reserved for Otherside NFT holders
250 free display spots reserved for JRNY Club NFT holders
250 free display spots reserved for the Surreal Guild
100 free display spots reserved for each and every separate ApeCoin DAO Delegate holding 50,000 ApeCoin or more
The team is requesting 75,000 ApeCoin, broken down as follows:
Digital Display Truck: 15,000 ApeCoin
Website & Technology Development: 20,000 ApeCoin
Marketing: 10,000 ApeCoin
Staffing and Related Expenses: 15,000 ApeCoin
Transportation & Rentals: 5,000 ApeCoin
Direct Sales: 5,000 ApeCoin
Miscellaneous Expenses: 5,000 ApeCoin
