AIP-376: Working Group Charter - Web3 Development

We currently have three working groups established: Governance, Metaverse, and Marketing & Communications. This proposal is attempting to establish a fourth group for web3 development. According to the AIP, its mandate would be to “build income generating projects for the ApeCoin DAO, ApeCoin [DAO] Initiatives like ThankApe, Boring Security DAO, MBA licensed projects and the ApeCoin [DAO] community. ApeChain [would] be a strong focus point [if] we reach that point.”

This group would be responsible for:

  • Supporting builders in the DAO

  • Building projects that add value to the DAO and communities with a vested interest in ApeCoin

  • Providing regular updates to the community on the group’s operations and outcomes

Initiatives would include:

  • Outreach to projects and other web3 communities

  • ApeCoin payment gateway

  • ApeCoin powered swop

  • ApeCoin powered NFT bridge and ERC-20 token bridges

  • ApeCoin NFT mints

  • Utilizing Web3 development technologies

  • Championing new web3 technologies like account abstraction that would be utilized in an attempt to expand the DAO’s footprint

This proposal would include no cost and if approved would require a subsequent proposal to establish a budget. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results can be found here.
