The Bulletin Bored: Two More Application Periods
(Issue 53)
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. May continues to be a busy month in the DAO. This week’s issue covers upcoming events plus a few additional updates.
Over the past year, there hasn’t been much follow-up with authors of approved AIPs. This doesn’t mean authors are not completing their milestones as written in their proposals, but up until this point the progress has often not been explicitly stated nor shared with the community.
As part of my mandate as DAO Secretary, I’ve begun to address this by tracking this information to be able to report on it. I have created an “AIP Milestone Tracker” database, which contains three different views:
Grid: basic table of milestones
Gantt Chart
Timeline
A link to the read-only version of the database can be found here. It’s still a work in progress as I continue to gather information, but you can follow along to see updates as I continue to build this out.
One thing to keep in mind as you are reading through is that anything marked as “TBD” does not mean that particular task has not been completed. Rather, it means I need to do additional research to figure out the current status of that task.
AIP-215 (Eco-friendly Apecoin Carpets) from last week had 82% of its votes come from delegation. This is the most of any proposal in the history of the ApeCoin DAO.
There is one proposal in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 5/10. You can vote on Snapshot here.
This proposal is requesting funding for a 60-day trial run to provide weekly ApeCoin DAO updates across various Twitter Spaces. Below is a high-level timeline provided by the author:
Weeks 1-4: Providing DAO Weekly Updates on a minimum of 5 Twitter Spaces
Weeks 5-8: Providing DAO Weekly Updates on a minimum of 10 Twitter Spaces
The total request is 15,000 ApeCoin with a possible reward of up to 1,000 ApeCoin per Twitter Space. You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
There was one proposal that completed the voting process last Wednesday. Here are the final results:
Thanks for reading this week’s edition! As mentioned above, a lot of ideas are being proposed on the Discourse forum nearly every day. If you have one of your own and are unsure where to begin, please reach out to me so I can help you get started.
