🗞️ The Bulletin Bored: Thank You
Issue 74
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. Before we dive into this week’s issue, I wanted to quickly thank everyone who voted for and supported AIP-317, the Governance and Operations Budget. This approval signals the DAO believes in the Working Group structure and vision it represents. In line with the DAO’s guiding value of Collective Responsibility, the rest of the Governance team and I are excited to continue building out the infrastructure of the DAO and leave it better than we found it.

Ape Assembly Meeting #9 will be held in Discord on Wednesday (10/4) @ 7:30 AM PST
ETH Online is scheduled for this weekend (10/6)
Secretary Corner
With the passing of AIP-317 last week, the Governance Working Group officially begins work on the following 14 tasks listed in their AIP. Here’s an overview of what is to come.
Assembly Update
Last week, the Ape Assembly voted to have me take on the Coordinator duties after BojangleGuy stepped down from the role. I’m happy to help out where needed and I also wanted to make it clear I will not be compensated for this Coordinator role.
To kick things off, Ape Assembly members have two items on their agenda. Head over to Discord to participate in these discussions and let your voice be heard.
Chart of the Week
The 20 AIPs voted on by the DAO in September were the most of any month in the history of the DAO. The Facilitators and Special Council have been busy reviewing AIPs and moving them through the pipeline.
With September coming to a close, here's how the past month of voting has compared to the others.
The 20 AIPs the DAO has voted on this month are the highest in any month in the history of the DAO.

AIP Live Voting
There are five proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday, 10/4. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.
AIP-278: Approved Educators, Publish your course with us
This proposal is requesting funding for a learning environment host platform for content creators, educators and mentors to publish their token-gated courses. It would attempt to merge web2 with web3, as participants who complete a course would be issued a Soul Bound Token (SBT) and those without a digital wallet would have the option of receiving a digital PDF.
The team is requesting $50,000 to build the platform in 3-5 months, which would include the ability for the platform to accept ApeCoin. Someone holding at least one ApeCoin would also be eligible for 10% off any courses hosted on the platform.
You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-301: [Eesee-ApeCoin] A Collaboration for Community Engagement and NFT Accessibility
This proposal aims to create an alliance between Eesee, a gamified NFT platform, and the ApeCoin DAO. According to the AIP, the goals of this partnership would be to democratize access to NFTs, stimulate community interaction, inspire active participation in ApeCoin DAO governance, and enhance the visibility of the DAO’s sub-communities.
This proposal is requesting no funding and lists the following steps to implement:
Explore the integration of ApeCoin into Eesee’s platform
Develop and launch exclusive NFT drops or special events for ApeCoin holders
Develop and launch educational quests for ApeCoin holders in collaboration with rep3 for dynamic NFT badges as rewards for quest completion
You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-308: Establish an Ombud for the DAO
This proposal seeks to establish an Ombud position in the DAO, which would spot check DAO posts and DAO-related posts of officials of the DAO several times a week. The Ombud would also investigate and judge complaints of DAO members against elected officials. Finally, the Ombud would judge and ban DAO members who continuously violate DAO rules.
ApeForLife would serve as the first Ombud for 24 months and subsequent Ombuds would be elected by the DAO. The proposal states the Ombud position should be held by someone with either a legal degree or with experience in conducting disciplinary proceedings.
This proposal is requesting $5,000 per month for 24 months ($120,000). You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-314: Beyond the NFT: NFT Lab Magazine's Plan for Empowering ApeCoin's Global Community
This proposal is requesting funding to supplement NFT Lab’s existing operating costs and facilitate the team’s proposed expansion for one year.
NFT Labs is an existing physical magazine publication with a goal of educating the public about web3, Yuga Labs, and ApeCoin. If this proposal were to pass, the team would feature different community projects and an ApeCoin DAO corner, covering DAO news and Yuga Brand developments. It would also report on approved AIPs. The magazine would be published on a monthly basis and an online version would be developed.
It would include the following steps to implement:
Hire a full-time editor-in-chief [$3,000 per month]
Recruit dedicated part-time resources for illustrations, photography and website administration for content updates [$1,000 per month collectively]
Appoint two ambassadors to liaise with ApeCoin DAO Special Council members, AIP proposal owners, and the BAYC communities for content sourcing [$2,000 per month]
Online magazine development with open recruitment prioritized for BAYC community members, assuming price competitiveness. [$20,000 total]
UI/UX Design
Backend content management system
On-going hosting and maintenance for 12 months
The total grant request is $92,000 in ApeCoin. You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-319: Create the Sporting League of the Otherside (NFTeams) + 5,000 free 3D Player Mint
NFTeams have built a sporting ecosystem (teams, jerseys, players) over the past two years and are now ready to mint the players and start their game. All 10,000 players have been rendered and the team is now looking to give away 5,000 and sell the other 5,000 by early December. To be able to accomplish this, this proposal is requesting $500,000 for the following:
Programmer X 2 ($160,000)
Graphic Designer ($70,000)
Website Design ($80,000)
Product Manager ($70,000)
3D Designer - 3DSM/Blender ($70,000)
Discord/Social Media Lead ($30,000)
Marketing Budget ($20,000)
This proposal’s goals include the following:
Make NFTeams the Sporting League of Otherside
Move NFTeams to an ApeCoin Standard
NFTeams would move its community fund (used to pay out prizes) to ApeCoin and player training, upgrades, tournament entries, etc. would be payable in ApeCoin only
Give 5,000 Player NFTs via a free mint to wallets holding 100 ApeCoin, a BAYC or a MAYC which also finish in the top 5,000 spots of a mini-game
You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
