Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO and broader BAYC ecosystem.
I know this issue is being delivered a few days late and I’m sorry for that. The power at my house has been in and out this week so it was a little bit of a challenge to get this issue out. I hope you all are staying safe and healthy and are enjoying the Holiday Season with friends and family.
I say this every year, but 2022 flew by. It’s hard to believe Taylor Gerring’s Mega Mutant Reveal was already a year ago.
Feeling spicy. Might crack a Mega

Special Council elections are the topic of the week once again with the election process coming to a close today. With three new members joining the board, the DAO enters a transition period. It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the DAO over the next few months.
Apecoin DAO Special Council Election ends tonight at 9 PM EST
The Trial of Jimmy the Monkey “Mysteries Revealed” drops today
Harry Liu shared a “Web3 IP builders who defined 2022” thread. I’m honored to have this newsletter included in his list
The Special Council Nomination and Election periods have included the most Voting Power since the first five proposals. The updated number for the Election round currently in progress is now over 15.5 million.
With about 24 hours left in the Special Council Election, there has been around 13.7 million in total voting power so far.
Not yet at AIP-1/AIP-2/AIP-3 levels but getting close.

The Special Council Election is the only item in the Live Voting stage this week. Below are the current results with about around eight hours left to vote. The top three candidates will join Yat Siu and Alexis Ohanian on the Special Council Board.
Badteeth and 24 others (including myself) are working on a 3-month Transition Plan to further decentralize the Cartan Administrator Team’s responsibilities by shifting them to the Community.
The proposal involves creating a Working Group Zero (WGv0) that would be responsible for:
Anyone who meets at least one of the following community engagement requirements would be eligible to join WGv0:
Level 2 or higher in Discourse
50k Apecoin or more in voting power
Voted on 50% or more of all Snapshot votes
Among the WGv0 participants, there would be 7 “Stewards” who would be responsible for:
Administrative oversight
Budgeting based on the needs of WG0 as approved by the Special Council
Reporting on all WG0 activities between the Special Council, the Administrators, and the Community
You can find the full AIP Idea here.
After witnessing projects struggle to find people to test their app and provide feedback, I’ve decided to set up a “Beta Testing Group” to help approved AIPs find Beta Testers.
While AIP-155 focuses on technical and security testing, this Beta group will focus on UI/UX feedback and enhancement/feature requests. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, please head over to Discourse and comment on my post to be added to the group.
Apecoin DAO Board Member Maaria continues to keep the community informed on what is happening across the Web3 community with her weekly newsletter. There is no issue this week, but you can subscribe to the full version here.
Thanks for reading this week’s edition! As mentioned above, a lot of ideas are being proposed on the Discourse forum nearly every day. If you have one of your own and are unsure where to begin, please reach out to me so I can help you get started.
