AIP Live Voting

There are seven proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 9/20. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.

This proposal seeks funding for a responsive web app, which would include the following:

  • NFT Marketplace

    • including a reduced fee for trades utilizing ApeCoin

  • Staking features

  • Account inventory/lore

  • Subscription Service

    • monthly subscription which could be paid in ApeCoin

The author mentions upon completion of the minimum viable product (MVP), the community would be invited to beta test the application. The total grant request would be $50,000, broken down as follows:

This proposal aims to update the official ApeCoin website to add a “Treasury” tab, which would include:

  • Live counter that tracks the size of the DAO treasury

  • The amount of the DAO treasury that has been spent

  • The rate of current spend of DAO funds

  • The estimated time when the treasury would be depleted at the current spend rate

The proposal also mentions the page would be updated every time funds are disbursed from the treasury.

It would include no cost. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-297: An NFT Community Vault Operating as an ApeCoin Sister DAO with a Goal to Advance the Mission and Influence of ApeCoin

This proposal is requesting 750,000 ApeCoin to establish a “Sister DAO” and acquire NFTs which represent various cultures and also with a certain level of influence in the web3 space. The only requirement to join the Sister DAO would be the same as the ApeCoin DAO, holding one ApeCoin token.

The acquired NFTs would be managed via a community-governed vault, voted on by the proposed “Sister DAO” members, and available for ApeCoin holders to utilize the IP with potential grants in ApeCoin. The proposal lists the following as some examples of decisions this “Sister DAO” would vote on:

  • Whether specific NFT IPs should be rented to a specific proposer based on the suggested products or projects

  • ApeCoin funding for development of the suggested products or projects using the vault’s NFT IPs

  • Which NFT collections to buy / sell from in the vault’s future NFT acquisitions after the initial acquisition based on this proposal

Animoca Brands would act as the “Committee” for the first six months and future Committee members would be voted on and elected by the ApeCoin DAO community.

A web page would be built to display the NFTs held in the community-run vault and a new Snapshot space would be setup to publish proposals and vote. Weekly reports would be sent to the community as well.

You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.
