The Bulletin Bored: Otherside Demo + ApeCage
(Issue 10)
The successful Otherside demo on July 16th hyped up the BAYC community once again after a few months of quiet building. I was skeptical I was expecting too much going into last Saturday’s demo, but it lived up to the hype and exceeded expectations. From jumping through the portal to the Otherside to battling a Koda Boss, the quality was off the charts. Building a game or metaverse people actually enjoy spending time playing is a tall task, but Yuga Labs is well on their way to succeeding.
Proposal Ideas
I have yet to create a proposal, mainly using Discourse to observe, analyze, and comment on other proposals flowing in. However, I have been working on some ideas on my own time and have also started formalizing some drafts to submit soon. One includes something I am very excited about but needs to remain confidential for now until the person I am working with and I are ready to submit it. The other is one I can discuss here now.
ApeCage
Nearly a month ago, Brandon proposed an idea called ApeCage. I was focused on other proposals at the time so I overlooked his idea, but when I had a chance to go back and take a second look I was immediately intrigued. The idea is ambitious, but if done correctly it would be a huge hit amongst the community. Imagine a panel of prominent members of the community like Capetain Trippy and Dfarmer sharing their thoughts on proposals pitched by the community. I’m taking Brandon’s initial idea, making a few tweaks of my own, and planning on submitting it as an AIP idea this week. Please be sure to check it out and provide feedback when you can.
Thanks for reading this week’s edition. Talk to you next week!
