The Bulletin Bored: Nomination Week!
(Issue 32)
Contributions to this week's newsletter made by @maariabajwa
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO and broader BAYC ecosystem.
The Special Council Nomination Process flew by as we are already gearing up for Nomination voting this week. As a reminder, here is the timeline of events and where we currently stand in the process.
The ApeComms team has been hosting numerous Spaces where they invite Special Council nominees up on stage to provide backgrounds, answer questions, and give their “elevator pitch” on why they are running for Special Council. Below is a thread compilation of these Spaces.
Last week, we saw the number of AIP Ideas and AIP Drafts on the Discourse forum briefly overlap for a few days. It was the first time since we started tracking this data that there were more AIP Ideas.
For the first time since we started tracking this data, there are more AIP Ideas than AIP Drafts on the Discourse forum.

There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week.
AIP-144: Establish Moderator Response Time Guideline
This proposal aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of the AIP Draft phase by implementing a “soft guideline” to have the Moderator team respond to all author messages on the proposal threads within 7 days.
Below are the current voting results.
AIP-120: ApeClub - Token Gated Social Network for the Yuga Community
ApeClub has built a platform to connect members of the Yuga Community with each other in oder to:
Develop business relationships
Meet people while traveling
Organize and attend events
Collaborate on projects
The platform is already live (link is in proposal on Discourse) and can be viewed today. The total cost of this proposal is 225,000 ApeCoin for 9 months of service.
Below are the current voting results.
AIP-119: Commercialize your NFTs on IRL Wine: WINE3 X BAYC Limited-Edition Wine Drop
The Wine3 team already has a 1,000 NFT supply project to allow holders to commercialize NFTs on physical wine bottles. They are looking to designate 10% (100 NFTs) of that supply to the ApeCoin DAO community.
As a result, this proposal is asking for the following:
Permission to use the ApeCoin logo on the wine labels
$60,000 for the purchase of the first 100 Wine3 X APECOIN DAO NFTs on behalf of the community
Below are the current voting results.
Last week, Brian Tang from the Cartan Group posted their team’s proposal to extend their contract and expand upon the scope of their operations.
Brian notes in the proposal that the team has been performing tasks that weren’t specifically called out in AIP-1. As a result, the team is looking to document and formalize these additional tasks and add a few more as well. These include:
Adjust the AIP process to increase efficiency and transparency
Make all interactions between the analysis team and the author public
Investigate and implement a soft support level within Discourse to verify the community wants to see an AIP go to vote before it actually does
Deploy an analysis team to help AIP authors create well-structured business models
Publish quarterly Transparency Reports for the Foundation
In order to accomplish these objectives, the Cartan Group would look to expand the team with active members from the DAO community.
The fees for the Initial Scope of DAO Operations laid out in AIP-1 were $150,000 per month.
The fees for the new proposal for Expanded Scope of DAO Operations would be $250,000 + 20,000 ApeCoin per month.
You can check out the full proposal here.
Most of you have probably already heard of the Bored Ape Gazette and seen all the content he pushes out on a daily basis as part of AIP-70. Rather than highlight his content here, I wanted to take a moment to share the amazing work ethic the guy has.
I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with him in Miami earlier this month. He was a great guy and pretty much knew everything and everyone in the BAYC. What stood out to me that week was the level of dedication and passion he has. From live tweeting from the events to going home and writing up articles at night, he was constantly committed to providing everyone both in Miami and back at home a way to stay up-to-date on what was happening. Just like he does every week.
