The Bulletin Bored: Live Voting is Back!

Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. After four straight weeks of no proposals published to Snapshot, Live Voting is back. We have three proposals to vote on this week. Continue reading for an overview of each, an update from Working Group Zero, and announcements of a couple new partnerships.

• Ledger partners with the ApeCoin DAO as their next Ledger Quest partner

• Gucci announces a partnership with Yuga Labs called the “House”

• 7,200+ concurrent Voyagers joined the Otherside 2nd Trip this past weekend

• Team Glacia won the “blob challenge” and will be airdropped a Winged Helmet wearable within a week

• Next up is “Otherside: Legends of the Mara”

The Stewards continue to engage the community on the Working Group Guidelines and Process proposal with a series of Discord Voice Chats and Twitter Spaces scheduled over the next couple weeks.

It’s hard to believe the DAO has already been in existence for over a year. Here’s a breakdown of average voter counts these past 12 months.

There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 3/29. You can vote on Snapshot here.

This proposal aims to mentor and provide micro-grants to artists and developers from the Indian Web3 community. It’s requesting 16,500 ApeCoin:

• 10,000 ApeCoin for micro-grants

• 6,500 ApeCoin for team management

This amount would be used to fund Prop House to distribute the micro-grants in the following way:

The Ape Water team is asking for funding to produce and sell Bored Ape-themed cans of water that include “smart can” interactive technology such as play-to-earn games, airdropped NFT rewards, loyalty tracking, and AR experiences. The scope of this proposal also includes creating and selling merchandise.

The overall cost of the proposal is $3,750,000, with the following breakdown:

• Can production: $750,000 (dependent upon volume of cans)

• Merchandise: $50k

• Hire Branding Director: $100k

• Hire 4 Branding Assistants: $80k X 4 = $320k

• Hire Field Teams: $245k

• AR Development: $500k-$700k

• Data capture: $500k-$1 million

• General tech stack: $500k

This proposal aims to give an ApeCoin Pet NFT for free to all ApeCoin holders and try to link it to Otherside, Decentraland, and Sandbox. It includes the following:

• 20,000 ACPC (1st editions) multi-linked metaverse NFTs

• 20,000 ACAC (1st editions) multi-linked metaverse NFTs

• 1 (not unique) ACAC to all ApeCoin Holders (200,000)

• 1 (not unique) ACPC to all ApeCoin Holders (200,000)

• 1 (not unique) ACAC to all ApeCoin WG0 token holders (507)

The total cost is $168,000, including both 2D and 3D creations, that would be given to the author in fifths as each of the steps below are completed:

• Step 1: Several 2D demos to show the ApeCoin DAO for ACAC and ACPC (community can pitch too as artists as well to join the team)

• Step 2: Start Generation of the 20,000 ACAC and ACPC 2D

• Step 3: Several 3D demos to show the ApeCoin DAO for ACAC and ACPC

• Step 4: Linking 3D ACAC and ACPC into Decentraland

• Step 5: Get the NFTs to everyone and begin logistics on how to start also linking in Sandbox and Otherside if the community wants as well
