Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. Stat of the Week

I often wondered how long it would take for a proposal to have as much voting power as we saw in the first week of DAO voting. It took 18 months, but we’ve now had six recent AIPs with more voting power.

There are two elections live on Snapshot this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 12/6 as the top five nominees from each will move onto the second and final round. You can view the nominees and vote on Snapshot here. The current results are below:

AIP Live Voting

There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting also ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 12/6. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.

AIP-349: ApeCoin Events Hub on cryptoevents dot xyz

This proposal is requesting funding for the creation of a dedicated events page for ApeCoin holders on the Cryptoevents website and to display the ApeCoin logo based on RSVP’d ApeCoin holders.

Most steps to implement would be completed within one month and ongoing maintenance would be provided for 12 months.

This proposal is requesting $20,000. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-364: The Battle for Goblin Town - A Bored Game

This proposal is requesting funding to create an economically self-sustaining game. It mentions the team behind this proposal has been developing their game for the past year at their own cost. There would be additional work required for ApeCoin integration into smart contracts and the user interface. Below is the proposed timeline if the AIP were to pass:

  • Initial, playable alpha game - immediately ready

  • Second Alpha version with bug fixes - within 30 days

  • ApeCoin integrated - within 60 days

  • Launch final game - within 60-120 days

  • Send airdrop - within 60-120 days

The airdrop mentioned above would include a “Goblin Chest” (at a rate of 1,000 votes to one) to anyone who votes on the proposal. In the case of delegation, the original token holders would receive the chest, not the person they delegate their votes too.

The team would also hold a 72-hour mint to allow people to buy crates for initial game pieces. It would include the following:

  • 15 percent of the the mint and ongoing game revenue would be returned to the DAO

  • 15 percent of the ApeCoin generated during mint and ongoing game revenue would be burnt

  • 20 percent of ongoing game revenue would go towards supporting future prize pools or be burnt

This proposal is requesting $2,000,000. $500,000 of which would be earmarked for a prize pool to be distributed across the first three seasons of the game. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-372: Enable AIP Voting During Elections

Just over a year ago, AIP-138 established no proposals would be eligible to go up for a vote on Snapshot while Special Council elections are in progress. AIP-372 would remove this requirement and enable proposals to be voted upon during Special Council election weeks. This change would include no cost to the DAO.

You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.

AIP Completed Voting

There were three proposals that completed the voting process last Wednesday. Here are the final results for each:
