The Bulletin Bored: Election Week Is Here!

(Issue 58)

Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. Election week is here! The first round of elections for Special Council and Governance Stewards begin this Thursday. This week’s issue includes updates on these, another Secretary Update, and an interesting piece of data I uncovered last week.

Secretary Update

ICYMI, I shared an initial draft of an ApeCoin DAO Organizational Chart over the weekend. Visualizing how the different roles relate to each other is still a challenge, but hopefully this graphic helps connect names to roles. I will continue to update this as changes arise.

Chart of the Week

Last week, I charted which days of the week community members have typically cast their AIP votes in the past. I looked at the three AIPs from this past week plus one from November and the numbers were pretty consistent across each.

Friday has traditionally been the most popular day to vote, with a gradual decrease throughout the rest of the voting week.

Note: The data is using the GMT Time Zone so there is a one hour window on Thursday GMT before each vote closes.

AIP Live Voting

There is one proposal in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 6/14. You can vote on Snapshot here.

AIP-251: ApeCoin DAO 101: The Ultimate Guide For ApeCoin DAO Newcomers

This proposal aims to provide a central source of information for new members to use as a reference. The following formats would be used for the onboarding guide:

  • Infographics

  • Video Content (screen recordings, trainings)

  • FAQs

  • Live training sessions (once-a-month onboarding call)

The author mentions he would work with community members to translate content to as many languages as possible.

The overall cost would be $10,000 (granted in ApeCoin). The author is also requesting a “Learn More” button to be added to the ApeCoin Website to host an infographic and link to the full onboarding guide.

You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.

AIP Completed Voting

There were three proposals that completed the voting process last Wednesday. Here are the final results for each:

AIP-238: Mecha Chaotic: Forge - Add chaos to your PFP

AIP-245: Working Group Charter - Metaverse

AIP-256: ApeCoin DAO Mission Statement

Thanks for reading this week’s edition! As mentioned above, a lot of ideas are being proposed on the Discourse forum nearly every day. If you have one of your own and are unsure where to begin, please reach out to me so I can help you get started.
