(Issue 33)
Contributions to this week's newsletter made by @maariabajwa
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO and broader BAYC ecosystem.
The Special Council Nomination Process is currently underway, with just over 48 hours left in the voting process. The second round of voting (election process trimming down from 5 nomination winners to the final 3 elected members) begins this Thursday. The three winners of that round of voting will then begin their Special Council duties at the start of 2023. On top of that, Cartan’s current contract will end on December 31st and they have a proposal in the Live Voting stage to renew it. One way or another, these next few weeks will bring major changes to the DAO.

There is one proposal in the Live Voting stage this week. The Special Council Nomination voting is live as well.
The current contract for the Cartan Group, the Administrators of the Ape Foundation, expires on 12/31/2022. This proposal puts forth a renewal of their contract for an additional year with increased costs, roles, and tasks compared to their first two contracts.
You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.
The Special Council Election process consists of two weeks of voting:
Nomination (December 15 - December 21) - narrowing down the current list of 40 candidates to 5; voters can spread their voting power across multiple candidates
Election (December 22 - December 28) - narrowing down from 5 nominees to the final 3; voters can only select one candidate
The 15 candidates who currently have the most votes are below. You can find the complete list here.
BadTeeth posted an AIP idea last week to develop a clearer and more defined mission statement, create working groups, and develop administrative structure. Below is the proposed timeline.
You can check out the full proposal here.
The Ape & Talent platform to connect members of the community with each other and showcase members’ skills is now in Beta. Please note there might be some UI/UX bugs but the team is actively working on them during the Beta phase. For anyone interested, they are currently looking for users to try out their site.
After more than 3 months of work, we opened the ApeTalent beta. There may still be some bugs and that's why we need your help. If you want to be one of our first users, send us a DM with your address to add it to the WL. Looking forward to receiving feedback from the 🦍community
