The Bulletin Bored: "Bored Ape Yacht Club"

(Issue 46)

Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. This past weekend, we were reminded of what makes the BAYC so special: the community. I first noticed Wave Tweeted out a simple message at 7 PM PST on Saturday night. All it said was “Bored Ape Yacht Club.”

Next, I saw PPMan retweeting tons of similar messages. Naturally, my first instinct was to join in on the fun. I quote tweeted the message, replied to Wave saying “Yes” and from there chaos ensued.

After replying “Yes” to many Tweets and hundreds of notifications later, I thought the fun was done. I woke up Sunday morning and realized it hadn’t stopped and we picked right up where we left off. Something as simple as “Bored Ape Yacht Club” and “Yes” brought so much buzz and excitement to the space for a few days. It was anything but a boring weekend.

It’s hard to believe WG0 ends in just 11 days. The focus of the Stewards during this time continues to be on discussing the following with the community:

  • Potential updates to AIP-1

  • Development of Working Group Structure and Guidelines

If you haven’t already, head over to Discourse to leave your feedback on the Working Group Guidelines and Process AIP now. The AIP Idea phase is scheduled to end later today.

In case you missed last week’s discussions or want to listen back, here are some links to Spaces where the above topics were discussed. There will also be additional Spaces and Discord calls this week.

If it seems like you’ve been seeing the same few people post on Discourse you are not alone. Over the past month, there has been an average of 76.76 users visiting the ApeCoin DAO Discourse Forum each day. Of those, an average of 23.82 have made a post or liked a message each day.

There are no proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Please check back again next week to see if any make it to vote.

Thanks for reading this week’s edition! As mentioned above, a lot of ideas are being proposed on the Discourse forum nearly every day. If you have one of your own and are unsure where to begin, please reach out to me so I can help you get started.
