The Bulletin Bored: Back to AIP Voting
(Issue 61)
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. What a thrilling and exhausting past few weeks of elections it was. First, I want to congratulate the winners (more on them below). Each is very deserving of his/her role and I’m excited to see the impact each of them will make on the DAO. I also want to take a moment to thank all the other candidates for running. It was a grueling process but a lot of great ideas and conversations were shared the past few weeks. I hope you all continue to remain active in the DAO.

If you’re interested in viewing the full table and following along as I update it each week, you can access it here:

Chart of the Week
With June coming to a close, here’s a breakdown of how the number of Live AIPs in June compared to previous months. Special Council elections took up two weeks of voting so that certainly affected the number of Live AIPs last month.

AIP Live Voting
There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 7/5. You can vote on Snapshot here.
AIP-259: Language and Market Focus for ApeCoin DAO in 2024-2025
This proposal aims to establish decision-making processes to prioritize and focus DAO efforts on specific markets. A steering committee would be formed to engage with an external consulting company, involve community members to conduct market research, and gather feedback and insight from the community to identify and recommend potential markets.
The analysis and research would be utilized to determine which markets the DAO would concentrate its resources and initiatives on in 2024 and 2025. The primary objectives of this proposal would be to:
Align with the overall goals of the DAO
Optimize resource allocation
Enhance the effectiveness of initiatives within the chosen markets

Here’s the proposal’s timeline:
End of Q3 2023: Formation of Steering Committee
End of Q4 2023: Publish Language and Market Focus Strategy for 2024-2025
End of Q1 2024: Live AIP to vote on the Language and Market Focus Strategy & Coordinated Market Expansion
This proposal includes no cost. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-262: Add “Benefit to ApeCoin Ecosystem” to AIP Templates
This proposal seeks to update the following AIP Templates to include a section entitled “Benefit to ApeCoin Ecosystem” and require authors to explain how their proposals would benefit the ApeCoin ecosystem:
The new section of the AIP Draft template would come after “Rationale” and before “Key Terms” on the Forum. The new section would also be included on Snapshot, appearing before the “Overall Cost” section.
This proposal includes no cost and the implementation time is listed as 1-2 days. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.
AIP-274: “ApeCoin Powered” & “Powered by ApeCoin” Logo implementation
This AIP proposes the immediate adoption and usage of the “ApeCoin Powered” and “Powered by ApeCoin” transparent PNG logos displayed below. Entities that exclusively accept ApeCoin as a means of transaction and AIPs approved by the DAO would be able to use this logo to signify their affiliation with the ApeCoin ecosystem.

The AIP also includes a note saying “the privileges to use these logos would
be revoked by the community if its usage is found to be inconsistent with the values and mission of the ApeCoin ecosystem.”
This proposal has no cost associated with it. You can find the full proposal here and the current voting results are below.
AIP Completed Voting
There were no proposals that completed the voting process last Wednesday. Instead, the second and final round of Special Council and Governance Steward Elections were held. Here is a recap (the two winners of each election began their terms on 7/1):
