Secretary Corner

While most questions have been focused on what the Special Council does from week to week and month to month, I anticipate some of them will start shifting towards the Working Groups soon.

Here’s a preview of what you can expect with the weekly working group summaries. These are currently being posted to Discord and the Forum every week, usually on Tuesdays.

Delegate Domain

The second Global Community Council meeting will be held this Thursday (11/30) @ 4 PM UTC. Topics will include L2 options, elections, and providing more access to AIP authors. Click on the Tweet below to view the signup form.

Stat of the Week

The amount of "Regular" users (Trust Level 3) on the Forum has been one of the more interesting metrics to watch. After declining for the past few months, it seems like it may be on the rise once again as we head into election season.

AIP Live Voting

There are three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 11/29. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.

This proposal is requesting funding to create a moving gallery for the DAO to showcase art sculptures of the ApeCoin logo, the DAO’s mascot, and select Yuga assets. It lists its primary goal of engaging and adopting a broader audience beyond web3 through exhibitions at galleries, high-end shopping centers, museums and future DAO events while also offering educational content.

If approved, the following would be made within four months:

  • 6 (60cm/2ft) different ApeCoin skulls

  • 1 (100cm/3ft) ApeCoin DAO mascot from AIP-289

  • 5 (60cm/2ft) life-size BAYC/MAYC busts

  • 1 (190cm/6ft) full body BAYC/MAYC

The author mentions success would be measured through real-time analytics provided by QR codes, including scan numbers, locations, unique scans, page views and more.

The proposal is requesting 88,577 ApeCoin, broken downs as follows:

  • 33,867 ApeCoin

    • Creating the internal steel frames - 1 week

    • Sculpting and modeling - 1 month

  • 35,484 ApeCoin

    • Adding high definition textures - 6 weeks

    • Painting the art pieces with various methods, including airbrushing - 1 month

  • 19,226 ApeCoin

    • Fabricating the granite bases & protections - 2 weeks

    • Fabricating the steel reinforcements - 1 week

    • Fabricating the masterpiece parcels - 2 weeks

You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-354: ApeCoinDAO AIP Ambassador & Mentorship Program

This proposal aims to outline framework for a voluntary, no-cost, three-month pilot program which would pair successful AIP authors with first-time AIP applicants with goals to increase participation and enhance quality of proposals.

AllCityBAYC would oversee the initiative independently and separate from the Governance Working Group. There would be no cost to implement this proposal.

You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-355: Reallocation of Ecosystem Fund into Ethereum and USDC

This AIP proposes reallocating 10% of the available Ecosystem Fund into both Ethereum and USDC. These funds would be utilized for various activities related to operating the DAO, facilitating grant requests, and ensuring the financial stability of the ecosystem.

It mentions the cost would include “to be determined fees” as it would depend on conditions at the time of any potential transactions. You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.

AIP Completed Voting

There were five proposals that completed the voting process last Wednesday. Here are the final results for each:
