🗞️ The Bulletin Bored: ApeChain Voting Updates
(Issue 92)
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. The ApeChain voting process began last Thursday with two separate votes: 1) to determine if the community wants an ApeChain and 2) which team they would want to build it if the answer to the first vote ends up being yes. This week’s issue includes an update on each plus overviews of the three proposals up for vote.
Thanks for reading! I pour my heart into this every week. If you find this newsletter helpful, it would mean a lot to me if you could recommend it to a friend to help me grow my network. You can also subscribe for free below.

The community voting period for the ApeChain RFP is currently in progress until next Wednesday (2/14). Here are the current voting results (as of Sunday afternoon PST, February 4th):
There’s also a vote (which ends on Wednesday 2/7) to first determine if the community wants an ApeChain at all. Here are the current voting results for that (as of Sunday afternoon PST, February 4th):
🗳️ AIP Live Voting
There are also three proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 2/14. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot.
(voting results below as of Sunday afternoon PST, February 4th)
AIP-369: Empowering ApeCoin Sub-communities with Fundraising on Twitter via IDriss
IDriss is an open-source protocol and browser extension (75k+ weekly users) that links public wallet addresses to X/Twitter usernames. It enables X/Twitter users to natively send and receive crypto, including perpetual donations.
This proposal is not requesting a grant from the DAO. Instead, it is requesting to add ApeCoin DAO’s X/Twitter account, its sub-communities, and all delegates to an allowlist, which would provide eligibility to register for the IDriss tool for free. You can find the full proposal here and the voting results as of 2/4 are below.
AIP-374: Healthcare Utility for holders of $APE and BAYC/Otherside NFTs with $APE liquidity sinks
This proposal aims to create healthcare utility for ApeCoin holders (who would have at least 50 staked tokens) plus holders of select Yuga ecosystem NFTs (BAYC/MAYC/BAKC, Kodas, and Otherdeeds). It would also include a web3 digital health platform that would accept payments in ApeCoin.
It would include dedicated, asynchronous medical advice for all qualified holders using a platform that would be similar to a “reddit-meets-medium” for healthcare. It would include a mix of medical Q&A and long-form content articles moderated by verified doctors and health science academics. The doctors and health science academics would be originally populated by a medical clinic registered in Singapore.
It would be a free platform with additional paid features for telemedicine-based synchronous medical advice paid for in ApeCoin. Time-based entitlements would also be available for qualified holders.
It is requesting $1,800,000 (denominated in ApeCoin) to fund the initial 24 months of the project, broken down as follows:
Software engineering team: $820,000
Marketing expenses: $175,000
Professional services (Business incorporation, accounting and legal): $70,000
Outsourced clinical services (every day including PH/holiday or weekends): $735,000
You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the voting results as of 2/4 are below.
