The Bulletin Bored: (AIP-64) Festival Feasibility Study

(Issue 13)

Contributions to this week's newsletter made by @maariabajwa

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Bulletin Bored. AIP-64 is currently in the Live AIP stage with voting set to end in two days. Let’s review what it entails and catch up on what happened this past week across Web3 with updates from Maaria.

AIP-64: Festival Feasibility Study

Discourse user ssp1111 has proposed creating a “Web3 Village event,” an NFT Conference & Festival. To be clear, it has no intention of replacing ApeFest, but rather an additional event that can bring multiple communities together.

In-person events are a great way to help community members get in touch and it would be great for the DAO to host an event that brings people from multiple projects and backgrounds together. Having multiple events at a single location instead of scattered across the city would make scheduling easier as well and allow participants to attend more events.

AIP-64 is the first of a two-part proposal. It includes just the feasibility study covering the following:

  • gathering resources, contacts, venues, producers, brands, and sponsors

  • aggregating feedback

  • converting feedback actionable data

  • securing letters of interest from various NFT brands and communities to secure participants

The actual coordination and execution of the “Web3 Village event” would be laid out in part two.

The overall cost of this feasibility study is estimated at $10,000. It includes payments for visual content and social media assets, creation of a website landing page, and the work required to reach out and confirm with sponsors, brands, etc.

So far, the proposal currently has 98.69% of participants voting in favor. Make sure you go out and vote yourself!

  • Starbucks will be introducing Web3 components to its popular rewards program at an upcoming investor conference in September.

  • Instagram users in 100 countries can now share their favorite Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow NFTs on the platform via integrations with Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Labs.
