Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. It’s another busy week of voting with five more AIPs currently up on Snapshot. This week’s issue includes an overview of each, milestone updates from six approved AIPs, and other updates across the DAO.

• Ape Assembly Meeting scheduled for 8/2 @ 10 AM PST

• A small group of 40 Voyagers gathered together in LA for Otherside previews

Below is this week’s AIP Milestone Tracker, which includes updates from six of the approved AIPs.

Delegation continues to remain popular in the DAO. AIP-264 from this past week had the highest percentage of voting power coming from delegation in the history of the DAO.

The fifth Assembly meeting will be held this Wednesday (8/2) @ 10 AM PST in Discord. This recent Ape Assembly vote, which concluded last Tuesday, figures to be one of the main topics of discussion.

Another topic likely to be discussed is this proposal posted by Amplify last week. It recommends shifting future Working Group Steward elections from the Ape Assembly to a DAO-wide vote.

Nearly a year ago, AIPs had a total voting power less than 1,000,00 tokens. Today, we have a single delegation voting group with more voting power.

AIP-242: Working Group Charter - Treasury

This proposal is another that builds off the work done in AIP-239 as it proposes a fourth working group that would oversee decentralized ownership of assets with a mandate to explore options for sustaining the daily operations of the DAO. Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to complete before the August funding window would include:

• Deploy a multi-sig wallet

• Develop comprehensive risk assessment criteria for asset management and allocation

• Research and design an on-chain treasury management strategy

This proposal would include no cost. Instead, the three elected Stewards would propose an initial budget 1-3 weeks after being onboarded. You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the current voting results are below.

AIP-247: Promote DAO Participation through Degenda

This proposal aims to integrate in-app DAO voting into the Degenda platform and provide event/announcement tracking for DAO members. Below are the four stages of the proposal.

• Phase 1: Access to be granted to project portal, mobile and web apps to become accessible, ApeCoin to be added to platform

• Phase 2: Contract a dev team (1 UI designer, 1 front-end developer, 1 back-end developer)

• Phase 3: Develop and push in-app voting to mobile app

  • Release of funds ($24,000)

• Phase 4: Future changes to platform to be iterated with the community via Forum and Twitter Spaces

AIP-254: FREE ApeCoin NFT Shields to First 150,000 ApeCoin Holders and FRields to all BAYC, MAYC, CryptoPunks, Meebits,

This proposal is a resubmission of AIP-61 and AIP-206. It aims to give away the following:

• Free ApeCoin NFT Shields to the first 150,000 ApeCoin holders

• Free NFT Shields to all BAYC, MAYC, CryptoPunks, Meebits, BAKC, and Otherside owners

• Free Golden ApeCoin NFT Shields to the top 690 ApeCoin Holders

AIP-260: Forever Apes // Welcome To ApeCoin, The IRL Onboarding Kit

This proposal aims to create ApeCoin branded Welcome Kits, which would be provided to event organizers, at no cost, for giveaways at IRL events. The kits would include:

• 4-page quick start mini booklet on how to onboard and get involved in the DAO (available in English, French, Mandarin, and Spanish)

• Scannable invites to social channels

• Holographic ApeCoin logo sticker

AIP-282: Information Request - Role of Special Council

This proposal seeks to understand the current responsibilities and role of the Special Council as the position has changed over time. If it were to pass, a written document which outlines the day-to-day responsibilities, requirements, and expectations of the Special Council members would be posted to the Forum within 15 days.
