🗞️ The Bulletin Bored: 100 Approved AIPs
(Issue 99)
Welcome back for another issue of The Bulletin Bored, where I provide news, analytics, and other information on the Apecoin DAO. In case you missed it on the Forum, I have decided to step down from my role as DAO Secretary effective March 31, 2024. You can read my letter to the community here.
It has been an honor to serve the community as both a WG0 Steward and then DAO Secretary. I want thank the community and specifically the Governance Stewards for giving me the opportunity to do so. I have learned a lot in these roles, both personally and professionally.
Some have asked what’s next. I’m not really sure yet, but I do plan on continuing to write this newsletter each week and possibly building it out even further. Thank you for continuing to join me in my journey.

🗳️ AIP Live Voting
There are six proposals in the Live Voting stage this week. Voting ends at 6 PM PST on Wednesday 4/3. You can view the proposals and vote on Snapshot here.
(voting results below as of Sunday night PST, March 24th)
AIP-393: Proposal to stake 2.5 Million $APE into the Cyan ApeCoin Vault
This proposal is requesting 2.5 million ApeCoin to stake directly into the Cyan ApeCoin Vault until the emissions expire, upon which all funds would be returned to the DAO.
Cyan would pass through 100% of the yields from the 2.5 million ApeCoin to the DAO and they would also share 50% of the revenue generated by staking activities with the DAO.
In addition to the 2.5 million ApeCoin (which would be scheduled to be returned to the DAO) this proposal is also requesting $13,504.
This cost would cover a 0.30% deposit fee, which is universal across all Cyan vaults. At estimated APEUSD prices of $1.80, it would be approximately $13,500. An estimated $4 gas fee would also be added.
You can find the full proposal, including a detailed cost breakdown, here and the voting results as of March 24th are below.
AIP-395: .APE - Launching the Real .APE Top-Level Domain on the Internet
ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is planning to open applications for new top-level domains (TLDs).
This proposal aims to create the .APE top-level domain (TLD) as a real-world asset (RWA) during the upcoming ICANN application round, which the proposal team anticipates could open as soon as 2025. The application would take approximately one year to prepare and would be led by D3, a next-generation identity company focused on bridging the gap between traditional Internet infrastructure and Web3.
This proposal is asking for three million ApeCoin, broken down in the chart below. All proceeds would be used to apply for, market, and launch the .APE domain extension. The DAO would receive 50% of all gross revenue generated from the *APE name tokens and the .APE Top-Level Domain. Any remaining funds would be directed towards revenue-generating activities including performance-based marketing and sales.

AIP-402: $APE as a Fuel for Mobile Growth to Help Make Dookey Dash a #1 Hit Game
This proposal aims to encourage more games to implement ApeCoin in their ecosystems and market those games to the masses. According to the AIP, the team “[aspires] to amplify global awareness of [ApeCoin] and create a precedent for how [ApeCoin], through targeted ad spend across major ad networks, [could] fuel new demand for [ApeCoin] in an ROI positive manner.”
The team behind this proposal includes Superfine, a Made By Apes company, and Faraway, the studio behind Dookey Dash. They are asking for $150,000, which would be sent to a Superfine wallet. 100% of those funds would go to campaigns dedicated to the growth of Dookey Dash. Superfine would not charge any fees and would have a team in place to manage the campaigns.
